I am pleased to be affiliated with Vanguard Properties in Marin where I can bring my varied skills and experiences together for the benefit of my buyers and sellers. I am able to help buyers see a vision for the property that may need some fine tuning, as well as help sellers prepare their homes for sale.

I have been a general contractor since 1986 and have always been interested in real estate. Having purchased property, built spec and custom homes from the ground up and having bought, improved and sold commercial property in Northern California and Oregon, my understanding of the real estate industry is broad.

After serving in Vietnam as an Army helicopter pilot, I returned to the Bay Area in 1971 and obtained a B.A. from the University of California. I then returned flying as a commercial helicopter pilot and flight instructor. I flew in the Bay Area, San Joaquin Valley, Alaska and Chicago. While in the Bay Area, I flew for Commodore Helicopters and later for Helicopters Unlimited. I was a flight instructor and Sales Manager for Helicopters Unlimited.

In 1982, while attending night school at Golden Gate University enrolled in graduate classes in Finance and Tax, and flying part time, I helped a local builder purchase a helicopter. Shortly thereafter, I was offered a position as a superintendent and assisted the project manager on a $9 million project while I taught the owner how to fly his new machine. After four years, I obtained my general contractor's license and started my own construction company.

In 1998 I picked up a Juris Doctor degree from John F. Kennedy School of Law at night while working during the day at small construction projects and putting together my first spec homes.

I am looking forward to working with the great people at Vanguard Properties to help buyers and sellers realize the full potential of their real estate investment.
